COVID-19 An update from the studio | Studio Shibui

Hi everyone on March 16, 2020

In light of the day to day changes and government and health recommendations, the studio will temporarily suspend classes till March 30.  Closer to that time, we will reassess and communicate where things stand.  We do hope that you can breathe through this trying time and practice some self care at home.  We look forward to seeing you once classes are back up and running.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email info@studioshibui.ca

Many thanks,

Natalia

March 15, 2020

With the dramatic changes in our world as a result of the appearance of COVID-19, Studio Shibui is committed to providing the most healthy environment possible for you to maintain your wellness practice.  We are committed to keeping the studio open because we believe that:

  • ELDOA keeps your immune system functioning at a higher level and keeps your nervous system more calm
  • it is important to maintain connection and community in times of stress
  • quality self-care helps you to maintain a more present and positive, solution focused state of mind

To this end, we will:

  • keep our commonly used surfaces, as clean as possible.
  • make sure that instructors stay home if they feel unwell
  • have an alcohol-based spray sanitizer for your mat.
  • provide doTERRA On Guard anti bacterial and anti viral soap in the washrooms
  • provide disposable paper towels in the washrooms for hand drying

We encourage you to:

  • wash your hands when arriving at the studio
  • always bring your own water bottle to class
  • use your own mat if you prefer
  • build your habit of not touching your face, nose or mouth with your hands when at the studio and in public
  • cough or sneeze into your elbow
  • wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds several times a day
  • please stay home if you are coughing or sneezing repeatedly; have a fever or sore throat, or are generally feeling unwell.

By all of us doing these things, we participate in helping to protect each other and our community

None of us know how things will unfold as the days and weeks go by.  Stay connected and strong in spirit.  Avoid negativity and deepen your gratitude for all that is well and good in your life. Although many of our plans at this time have been interrupted, taking some time to reflect on our pace, quality of life and what we really value is one of the oppotunities that may be more available to us.  Let’s come through this time more wise, healthy and connected.

Warmly,

Natalia
